A new collaboration with Toulouse-based publisher La Lanterne. I designed the latest tale in the children’s collection Le Chaudron. It’s called ‘La voix des sables’ and it’s a beautiful story of life and transformation. This second project with La Lanterne after Mebarka was an opportunity for me to discover a new printing technique: risography, used to print the book. I experimented with new inks, their rendering on different papers and working with layers of colour. The specific features of risographic printing also introduce a slight blur into the print, which I was able to play with to accentuate the strength and purpose of the drawing. La voix des sables is a beautiful object with a handmade japanese binding! In short, an exciting artistic collaboration!
