THE VOICE OF THE SANDS

A new collaboration with Toulouse-based publisher La Lanterne. I designed the latest tale in the children’s collection Le Chaudron. It’s called ‘La voix des sables’ and it’s a beautiful story of life and transformation. This second project with La Lanterne after Mebarka was an opportunity for me to discover a new printing technique: risography, used to print the book. I experimented with new inks, their rendering on different papers and working with layers of colour. The specific features of risographic printing also introduce a slight blur into the print, which I was able to play with to accentuate the strength and purpose of the drawing. La voix des sables is a beautiful object with a handmade japanese binding! In short, an exciting artistic collaboration!

LIGNES ET FILS TISSÉ·ES EXHIBITION

On 21 and 22 September 2024 I presented my new T.ga series in Villeneuve de Marsan as part of the 2024 edition of the Toutes en art! event. This new series is the fruit of a collaboration with Anne Cantin, a textile artist, who gave me an insight into a world I didn’t know: the arts of thread and textile creation.

For these new drawings, I focused on two themes: the hands and arms in the act of weaving, and the shapes of the threads. The textile pieces created by Anne have been meticulously inked to produce precise prints that reflect the finesse of the weaving. The resulting prints were then incorporated into a series of ink drawings: an experience of weaving paper that is both fragmentary and integrated. Other prints were intended to reveal blurrier forms, supporting the imagination of the thread arts.

LA PASSERELLE'S PUBLIC LAUNCH

On May 25 and 26, I had the pleasure of welcoming a large audience for the official inauguration and public opening of La Passerelle. Two days to share my work and talk about printmaking, as it was also the 12th Fête de l’estampe. It was great fun running speed-creating workshops, so that everyone could make a plate and a print. A weekend rich in sharing, encounters, artistic cross-fertilization and conviviality.

After so many months of thinking, planning, searching and moving in, La Passerelle is finally open!


La Passerelle is my artist’s studio. It is first and foremost my personal creative space, my place. Tables, inks, natural papers and the etching press at the center ! Everything is there to work with, and some wonderful artistic collaborations are already underway.

But La Passerelle is also an open place, welcoming artists and transmitting their work. I want it to be a place for sharing and training.

A great weekend for Toutes en art 2023!

On 16 and 17 September, my C.Tg series left the studio to take up residence in the unusual setting of Pouy for Toutes en Art 2023 as part of the Journées du Matrimoine (Heritage Days). The group exhibition, Attention fragiles! showcased the work of women artists around an exciting theme: fragility, not as a cliché far removed from feminism, but as an urgent need to make a new place for sensitivity in our world.

A rich weekend of exhibitions by women artists, workshops, shows and encounters!

AMPÉLONIES #2

Update 2023, August, 26th: exhibition extended until 23 September! Come and enjoy!

Ampélonies travels! to the Gers as part of the 3rd Vineart en Gascogne. The Château de Millet in Éauze will host the exhibition from 26 July to 26 August 2023. Ampélonies #2 presents contemporary drawings and monotypes based around vines and wine.

And as art invites you to stroll around, don’t hesitate to come and discover the beautiful Domaine de Millet during the day: the team has put together a lovely programme that’s both artistic and epicurean.

Save the date! I look forward to seeing many of you at the opening on 26 July 2023 at 5pm.
